How to create a store
Your items need to be stored somewhere - that somewhere in your store.
When you create your store you are deploying a smart contract onto the blockchain where it will live forever. It will also have its own, unique address that only your store will have. (this is how you can prove that your items are actually authentic and from you).
Making your first store
This is the category of items you are selling. It's how buyers will be able to filter through stores for things they want. If you are selling art - it would be an ar twork. If music - it would be media files.
This is the title of your store. This title is the name of your smart contract and will be displayed everywhere. Make sure its description and catches people's eyes!
This is the subtitle of your store. You can add more information here about your store. This will be the symbol of your smart contract (but it doesn't need to be a symbol)
Tags tell users what your store is about. Tags are used for searching for items and stores. Add up to 8 tags.
This is what is displayed as the image for your store. A good cover image is the key to having people look at your store. Recommended Store Image size : 1450px x 250px Do avoid having text on the image as the system will auto-resize it depending on the device users are viewing on.
Tell the world about your store and what is inside. Be descriptive and catch the buyer's eye.
Some creators care deeply about where their item metadata is stored. Some want to store their data decentralized on IPFS, or other solutions - while some don't care at all.
We offer the fullest flexibility for this - you have 3 options that cover all possible scenarios
- 1.Store your data with us - the easiest solution
- 2.Store your data on IPFS - the decentralized solution
- 3.Store your data anywhere else, on your website/server, arweave, filecoin.
This lets you create multiple items in a single transaction - which saves you a ton of money on gas costs - since you need to pay a transaction fee to the Ethereum network every time you make a transaction. So instead of making 50 transactions and paying $5 each time - you can make 50 items in a single transaction and pay $5 once.
Every contract comes with the ability to make 50 items for free. But if you want to make more - it's a single, one-time fee that will upgrade your store to be able to batch mint the amount you selected - forever.
Example: If you want to make 20,000 items in your store - selecting 2,000 batch minting would be the cheapest way to do it. You then can submit 10 transactions to mint 2,000 each time.
The amount of items you can make is unlimited, but the amount you can make in a single transaction is limited to the amount of batch minting you select.
You will need to pay for gas + sign a confirmation message on Mintable depending on how many items are you trying to batch mint.
After you are finished confirming all your information is correct - you will submit your transaction which creates your smart contract on the blockchain.
After your transaction is finished - you will be ready to create new items in your store!
