How to create a store

A wallet is required to create a store - you need to have either a mobile wallet or a wallet on your browser. You can get Metamask at the official site: metamask.io or choose another wallet of your choice.
What is my store/Why do I need one?
Your items need to be stored somewhere - that somewhere in your store.
Your store is actually a smart contract on the blockchain. Click here for an article that explains more.
When you create your store you are deploying a smart contract onto the blockchain where it will live forever. It will also have its own, unique address that only your store will have. (this is how you can prove that your items are authentic and from you).
Only you can create items on your store (smart contract). Gasless minting will be creating the item using Mintable's smart contract.
Let's get started!
Making your first store
To create a store go to: https://mintable.app/createstore. or click on "Create a store" in the top right of the page.
If you are not logged in - or you don't have a wallet connected - you will see a message preventing you from moving further.
You will see a page like this to fill out the information for your store:
Please ensure the information here is final. They cannot be edited after the store is created!
What does each field represent?
Category
This is the category of items you are selling. It's how buyers will be able to filter through stores for things they want. If you are selling art - it would be an artwork. If music - it would be media files.
Title
This is the title of your store. This title is the name of your smart contract and will be displayed everywhere. Make sure its description catches people's eyes!
Subtitle
This is the subtitle of your store. You can add more information here about your store. This will be the symbol of your smart contract (but it doesn't need to be a symbol!).
Tags
Tags tell users what your store is about. Tags are used for searching for items and stores. Add up to 8 tags.
Cover Image
This is what is displayed as the image for your store. A good cover image is the key to having people look at your store. Recommended Store Image size: 1450px x 250px Do avoid having text on the image as the system will auto-resize it depending on the device users are viewing on.
Description
Tell the world about your store and what is inside. Be descriptive and catch the buyer's eye.

Some creators care deeply about where their item metadata is stored. Some want to store their data decentralized on IPFS, or other solutions - while some don't care at all.

Store your data anywhere else, on your website/server, arweave, filecoin.
Submit your transaction
After you have confirmed all your store's information is correct - you will submit your transaction which creates your smart contract on the blockchain.
This transaction will take a few seconds to a few minutes to confirm. Please wait for your transaction to be submitted from your wallet - then once you see a confirmation page you can move to the next page.
Your store will only appear once the transaction has been confirmed on the blockchain - which could take a few minutes.
Please do not adjust the recommended gas fees as the transaction has been optimized for the lowest fees possible. Adjusting the recommended gas fees may cause the transaction to fail & you will lost the fee!
After your transaction is finished - you will be ready to create new items in your store!
If gas prices are high, the cost to create a store could be quite high. While we are the cheapest place to deploy a smart contract, it does cost a bit of money since it will live forever on the blockchain and you will always have access to it. If you don't want to pay this fee - you can create items directly under Mintable's store instead.
