Transferring an NFT on Mintable
Transferring an NFT allows you to send it to another wallet. Follow these simple steps to transfer an NFT on Mintable.
Step 1: Connect Your Wallet
Visit Mintable and log in to your account.
Connect your preferred wallet (e.g., MetaMask, WalletConnect) by clicking the wallet icon in the top-right corner.
Step 2: Navigate to Your NFT
Once your wallet is connected, click on your profile to access your NFT collection.
Navigate to the NFT you want to transfer and click on the "Transfer NFT" option.
Step 3: Start the Transfer
A pop-up will appear asking for the correct wallet that owns that NFT to be connected.
This pop-up will also require you to enter the recipient’s wallet address. Enter the correct address of the person you are transferring the NFT to. Ensure the address is accurate, as sending to the wrong address cannot be undone.
Step 4: Confirm the Transfer and Pay Gas Fees
Review the details and confirm the transfer.
You will be prompted to approve a transaction in your connected wallet to pay for the gas fees. Mintable only supports ETH for gas payments.
Do not edit the estimated gas fee as insufficient can cause the transaction to fail. Gas consumed for failed transactions is not recoverable/refundable by Mintable.
Once confirmed, the transfer will be processed. You can track the transaction using an Ethereum blockchain explorer, such as Etherscan.
Important Warnings
Irreversibility: Both transferring and burning NFTs on Mintable are permanent actions. Make sure you double-check the recipient’s wallet address when transferring NFTs, as they cannot be recovered if sent to the wrong address. Similarly, once an NFT is burned, it cannot be restored.
Gas Fees: Transferring and burning NFTs require gas fees paid in ETH. The gas fees depend on Ethereum network activity and must be paid in your connected wallet.
Asset Loss: Mistakes such as sending NFTs to the wrong wallet address or burning them by accident can result in the permanent loss of those assets.
